Arriving in Nepal in 2001, Ah Hok was quickly mesmerized by the natural beauty of the Himalayas. After a 5 day trek in the mountains, he developed a deep craving for Hainanese Chicken Rice and he could not take it any longer! With no place to go for the authentic taste, Ah Hok cooked up a feast using his beloved mother's recipe and invited his new Nepali friends over for a meal. That night, they all had such an enjoyable time over the meal that they left Ah Hok's place craving for more! "I could taste the magic," remarked one of his friends, "the unique aroma of rice cooked in chicken stock and the biting taste of chilly sauce could be the start of something BIG!"
That started Ah Hok out on a quest to win the hearts and taste buds of Nepalis with a selection of Singaporean and Malaysian hawker favorites. Until now, Ah Hok has not stopped creating new dishes once he got his hands on the right ingredients. The latest addition to our menu is the Ngo Hiang! Minced chicken seasoned in five spice and rolled up in a crispy bean curd skin to seal in all the flavour!
