Established in 1981, Dhulikhel Mountain Resort pioneered the Resort concept in Nepal. The resort rests on 20 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and is back-dropped by the breathtaking panorama of the Himalayas. Designed with an ethnic theme, the beautifully refurbished cottages are made from red bricks with thatched roofs to reflect the traditional village architecture of the region.

Our resort comprises of 43 comfortable rooms situated in private cottages separated by our superb gardens. All rooms feature attached bathrooms with solar heated hot water, room heaters, electric mattress, tea and coffee making facilities and most with sitting rooms. Views of the Himalaya and surrounding hills are a feature of all our rooms.

In the evenings we host a special cutural program under the stars in our courtyard during the peak tourist season. The program features ethnic dances from different regions of Nepal.

On site we have our indoors dinning room and a beautifully set courtyard restaurant from where you can enjoy the mountain views. We have a large ala carte and buffet menu to suit the taste of just about anyone. We also have the attic lounge bar where you can have pre and post dinner drinks. Our dining room seats 80 people and the courtyard up to 350 people. Private functions and courtyard BBQ’s and bonfires can be arranged.

Dhulikhel Mountain Resort offers a range of heli-trekking and heli-sightseeing tours into the Himalaya and around Kathmandu. We fly the Bell 206 B iii which has one of the best safety records in its class. It’s easy to fly and robust to deal with Himalayan conditions and can fly up to 16 000 feet. This year we also added to AS 350 B2 & the AS 350 B3 to our hangar which are capable of flying up to 20,000 meters and  can conformably seat five passengers as well as the pilot!
