Patan Durbar Square limping back to normalcy

Patan Durbar Square , which used to be a major tourist hub, now wears a deserted look. Most of the ancient temples and structures of the historical town turned into rubble after the catastrophic earthquake of April 25. Police have prohibited movement of general public and taken extra measures to stop further damages from the continuing aftershocks.

However, the Durbar Square area, also enlisted in UNESCO world heritage sites, is trying to limp back to normalcy. Market places around the area are slowly opening and number of people wandering in the area is also increasing day-by-day. Bhaktapur’s Ju Ju Dhau (Bhaktapur’s special curd) vendors are routing to the area to sell their products like in the past.
