Raveena Tandon says she is here to promote Nepali culture, jewelry

Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon is in the capital on Tuesday as an ambassador to the Jewelry Fashion Show and Expo 2014 that starts from Wednesday.

At a press meet organized by Nepal Gem and Jewelry Association (NGJA), Tandon said that her visit to Nepal basically aims to promote Nepali culture, tradition and especially the jewelry products here.

“I immediately said yes to participate the jewelry event in Nepal as both Nepal and jewelries are among my top priorities,” Tandon said, adding “Nepal has peculiar culture and tradition. My participation at the event will be to promote them globally.”

Speaking with Myrepublica, Tandon said “I will take a number of Nepal-made jewelry products on my return to India and promote them in my homeland.”Meanwhile, Tandon also expressed her happiness on visiting the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.

As per the schedule of the event, Tandon will walk the ramp flaunting Nepali jewelries.
