Cultural Museum Nepal announced

The Cultural Museum Nepal, established with an aim to collect information and artifacts related to the country's culture and history, has been formally announced on Wednesday on the occasion of New Year 2014.

It also aims at doing research on issues related to history, culture, arts, politics and socio-economic development of the country.

The museum has already collected some historical photographs, attires, documents and newspapers in its archive.

“The museum was established after we felt a need for a mechanism to actively disseminate the nation’s achievements in various sectors,” a statement read.

Kshitij Arun Shrestha leads the nine-member executive committee of the museum located at Syuchatar of the Capital.
