Tourism promo protested

Dharmodaya Sabha, an organisation of Buddhists, today objected to a tourism promotional material titled ‘The Path’ published by Uttar Pradesh Tourism Board.

The Sabha objected to the promotional material for mentioning that Kapilvastu lies in India. In a press release issued yesterday, the Sabha stated that government apathy towards protecting and promoting Kapilvastu Palace in Tilaurakot was the main reason behind such misleading publicity.

It also stated that a special committee has been constituted for taking concrete steps to ensure the protection and promotion of Kapilvastu area in coordination with governmental and non-governmental organisations and concerned bodies.
