ICT Electronics and Branding Expo 2014

ICT Association of Nepal is holding the seventh edition of ICT Electronics and Branding Expo at the Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall from April 24.

Bharat Exhibitions, an ICT event organizing company of India, is the co-organizer of the event.

Organizing a press meet in the capital on Monday, the organizers said the five-day event will make a significant contribution in the country’s ICT industry. “We have tried to bring most of the leading domestic IT companies as well as companies from abroad under one roof,” Shishir Upadhyaya, president of the association, said. “These companies will showcase latest products as well as share information on latest developments in the ICT industry around the world through different 60 stalls.”

According to the organizers, the event would target students. “As technology is major concern among students, we are planning to make the exhibition student-friendly,” Upadhya said, adding that participating companies would launch attractive offers for students.

Meanwhile, the association is distributing ‘school management software’ free of cost to more than 500 schools. The software costs Rs 15,000 for other buyers.

“The software will help in better management of schools,” Bhes Raj Paudel, first vice-president of the association, said, adding that the software is available in both Nepali and English versions. “With the software, schools can prepare their websites on their own.”

Launch of Digital Interactive White Board by Human Click Enterprises, the authorized distributor of products of Infocus brand, is the other major attraction of the expo.

Products like branded computers, laptops, LED televisions and DVD players, among others, will be exhibited at the expo, according to the organizers.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is the major sponsor of the ICT event.
