MADE IN NEPAL Product and Service Exhibition 2014

The fourth edition of Made in Nepal Products and Services Exhibition 2014 is scheduled to be held from Feb 14 at Bhrikuti Mandap. The fair aims to draw consumer awareness towards Nepali products and services.  The Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) is organizing the expo in association with Direction Nepal and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).

The organizers said that the objective of the expo was to bring behavioural change among Nepali consumers and lure them towards Nepali products and services. As the country is flooded with foreign products, it has been hurting local producers. The expo organizers aim to make visitors aware of the potential of Nepali products, and help boost the country’s economy, create employment and develop youth entrepreneurship.    

The expo will have commodity-wise pavilions with more than 150 stalls showcasing Nepali products like leather products, footwear, decorative items, textiles, handicrafts, fast moving consumer goods, agro products and herbal items from all the country’s 75 districts. Similarly, the expo will display Nepali software, IT products and new tourism products.

The expo would create a great platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services.The organizer has planned to hold similar fairs in Qatar and Malaysia too. The expo is expected to draw more than 100,000 visitors.
