16th Flora Expo 2013

Flora Expo Nepal is a both business to business and business to customer event that will be held at Bhrikutimandap, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu in Nepal for four days. It displays the variety of floricultural products and showcases the latest developments in Floricultural sector in Nepal. It attracts a large number of visitors from different parts of the world.

Flora Expo Nepal aims to support the development of all the sectors and sub sectors of the floricultural department. It focuses on the growth of the market of its members like the producers, whole sellers and retailers using the tools and latest techniques. It also emphasis on improving the quality of the products thus helping the floricultural sector to be an export oriented industry in Nepal.

The expo will have a total of 60 stalls, including 53 commercial stalls and five informative stalls. Two stalls will be for competition purpose. FAN will hold competition among firms involved in flower decoration as well as home and garden decoration.

According to the organizers, the event will showcase different floral varieties like seasonal flowers, ornamental flowers, cut flowers, potted plants, bedding plants, dry flowers, and flower bulb and seeds. Similarly, compost and fertilizers, agricultural tools, and packaging materials, among others will also be exhibited at the expo.

The organizers are eyeing total transaction of around Rs 7.5 million during the four-day expo. The event is expected to draw 65,000 visitors. Entrance fee of the expo has been fixed at Rs 40 for general visitors and Rs 20 for students.

The expo is supported by Floriculture Co-operative, One Village One Product Implementing Committee and Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
