Lack of information centre haunts tourists in Far-West

KAILALI: Tourists visiting the Far-Western region have been facing difficulties to get information due to lack of an information centre.

The information about the religious, historical and naturally beautiful places, the tourists want to visit are not in their easy access. As a result, many tourists are bound to shorten the visit in the region, said Jay Raj Joshi, Secretary at Kailali Chambers of Commerce.

The Far-Western region is a home to the Shuklaphanta reserve, Khaptad reserve, Malik and Ghodaghodi lakes, Api and Saipal peaks and other naturally attractive spots as of Ramroshan and Chisapani areas.

The religious places to attract tourists are the temples of Shaileshwori, Ugratara, Badrikedar, Badimalika, Malikarjun Kotbhariav and others.

Information officer at the District Development Committee, Kailali, Yogendra Ojha, said the DDC was strongly suggested to set up the information centre and the homework was underway.
