10:55 am of Oct 22 is most auspicious time for Dashain Tika

The Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Samiti has determined 10:55 am of October 22 as the most auspicious time for receiving the Badadashain Tika.

According to the Samiti, the auspicious time for Gatasthapana, the first day of the 10-day celebration, is at 11:25 am on 13 October.

Chairperson of the Committee, Ramchandra Gautam, shared that 11:35 am on 14 October is the most auspicious time to replace the national flag with the new one at the government offices and Nepal Army’s offices.

“No auspicious time is needed in the Phulpati,” argued Chairperson Gautam.

Likewise, Mahaashtami will be celebrated on 21 October on Wednesday and the Kalratri would be performed on the same day, the Committee said.

“Mahanawami and Bijaya Dashami, the ninth and tenth day of the festival respectively, have fallen on the same day on 22 October,” informed Chairperson Gautam.

Gautam further said that the auspicious hour for immersing statues of goddesses is at 10:45 am and for receiving Tika and Prasad at 10:55 am on 22 October.

He clarified that there was no necessity to determine the auspicious hour to receive Tika during Dashami to Prunima.

Also, auspicious times for procession of Tulaja Bhawani and Khadgayatra are at 11:01 am and at 11:55 am respectively on the day of Vijaya Dashami.

Kojagrat Prunima, the last day of the festival, falls on 26 October.
