Ishani Shrestha to represent Nepal in Miss World 2013

A press conference was held at International Club, Sanepa on Sunday to spread the word about Nepal’s participation in Miss World 2013, Miss International 2013 and Miss Earth 2013.

It was informed that Miss Nepal World 2013 Ishani Shrestha will be leaving for Jakarta, Indonesia today to participate in Miss World Pageant to be held from September 3 to September 28.

Addressing the participants, Shrestha shared, “I’ve worked very hard for the training during the last few months. I’ll try my best to make Nepal proud during the pageant,” adding, “I’m very eager and excited to represent my country in the pageant.”

Likewise, Miss Nepal Earth Rojisha Shahi will represent Nepal at the Miss Earth pageant while Miss Nepal International Shritima Shah will be going to Japan for Miss International. The pageants are going to be held in October-November 2013.

“We are very grateful to former Miss Nepal Malvika Subba for helping us during the training and grooming sessions. Also, we would like to thank the talented designers for preparing such beautiful dresses,” shared Shrestha.

Designers like Subexa Bhadel, Swarnim Rai and Tenzing Tseten Bhutia among others have designed dresses for the participants. Boutiques like Oodni Boutique, The Garage and House of Fashion have also been providing attires to the participants.

The participants also have received support from Rage Fitness Center and Jasmine Fitness Club and Spa for physical fitness. Sakil Kunwar and Bidisha Shakya, along with other stylists have been doing their hair/make-up, while for assistance in choreography and body language, they’ve been trained by Aalok Ghimire, Pratima Shrestha and Dipesh Gurung.

Nepal started participating in Miss World from 1997, Miss Earth from 2003 and Miss International from 2010.
