Indian celebs to help promote Nepal tourism

The craze for everything Bollywood is pretty strong here. And to promote the latest Shah Rukh Khan (SRK)-Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express, Miss Asia Pacific World 2012 Himangini Singh and Akshitaa Agnihotri, finalist of Femina Miss India f 2013, landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport on August 10. s Apart from promoting the latest Bollywood release, the two also plan to raise funds for the recent flood victims of Nepal as well as promote f tourism in Nepal after their return to Mumbai. Representing India to promote Bollywood movies in Nepal, during the promotion they will be organising a `Lungi' festival as SRK has danced in a lungi in his movie.

Furthermore, they will be hosting a charity show of Chennai Express on August 12 for 300 invitees. “The funds collected then will be donated to the recent flood victims,“ said Singh.

Project Crayon, a Mumbai-based NGO, will be working with Darshana Arts Pvt Ltd to raise and distribute funds to the victims.

Singh and Agnihotri, who are visit ing Nepal for the first time, have plans to promote the country in the tourism sector and they believe Bollywood can make a great impact in this regards.

“Nepal is known for its mountains, temples and monasteries, and rather than shooting in Europe and other expensive cities, we can shoot here in Nepal which will be comparatively cheaper. And as we are neighbours, we can help each other in this sector,“ expressed Singh.
