Initiative to promote tourism in Chobhar

KIRTIPUR: In a bid to promote tourism in the Chobhar area‚ a south-western belt of the capital city‚ the Jalbinayak Community Forest Users’ Group organised a visit for mediapersons.

More than 40 journalists from different media houses visited the area as part of the initiative that started yesterday afternoon and ended this morning.

On the occasion‚ treasurer of the group‚ Sujindra Maharjan‚ said the visit was organised to promote Chobhar and highlight its tourism potential. The Chobhar area linked to the origin of the Kathmandu Valley has 13.4 hectares of land that can be utilised to promote tourism. During the visit‚ the journalists were showed and informed about the Manjushree cave‚ Manjushree Park‚ the historic Taudaha pond‚ and Adinath and Jalpadevi temples.
