118918 tourists visited Nepal in Jan-Feb

As many as 118,918 tourists have arrived in Nepal in January and February of this year through air and land routes.

January welcomed 52,474 tourists while other 66,444 visited Nepal in February both, through air and land routes.

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, of the total number, 84,747 arrived through air route while others entered Nepal via land routes.

The Ministry said that a total of 42,031 tourists entered Nepal in the month of January and 42,716 in the month of February through air route.

Likewise, as high as 10,443 and 23,728 tourists arrived in January and February respectively through land route.

Assistant Spokesperson of the Ministry, Bal Krishna Ghimire, the highest number of tourists 7,952, entered Nepal through Bhairahawa check-point while Dhangadhi check-point received only 2,000 tourists.

Similarly, the highest number of tourists, 22,269, entered Nepal through land route via Bhairahawa check-point while the less number of tourists, which was only two, entered Nepal in February through Dhangadhi check-point.
