Kathmandu International Arts Festival begins

Lalitpur: The month-long Kathmandu International Arts Festival began here on Sunday.

Exhibitions in different museums and art galleries of Kathmandu and Lalitpur and symposium are organised under the festival organised by the Siddhartha Art Foundation.

Creations of 102 artists from 31 nations would be exhibited in different 16 places in Kathmandu and Lalitpur. Artists from Nepal, America, Canada, Japan, and Bangladesh including others are taking part in the exhibition.

The sculptures and different artistic creations have been exhibited in Patan Museum, Nagbahal, central zoo and newachchhe.

The organiser said that seminars on different aspects of arts also would be held from Tuesday.Theme of the festival is 'earth, body, mind'. The festival was organised first time in 2009
