Pokhara to get new three-star hotel

Kaski:  Pokhara, of late, is witnessing an increased investment in the tourism sector.

Among the latest big projects is a luxury three-star hotel—Atithi Resort and Spa. Four siblings—Ram, Laxman, Bharat and Shatrughan Poudel—are investing Rs 200 million in the project.

The Poudel brothers said they invested in the project, realising the potential of high-end hotels in the lake city. “We will start operation in the next two months,” said Bharat.

The hotel will have a mini bar and an automatic safe locker in each room. The infrastructure will also include a swimming pool, a health club, restaurants and a conference hall, among others.

The property will have 51 rooms and can provide service to 120 guests at a go. The promoters claimed that each room is being built in such a way that guests could enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Annapurna.

The hotel, which sprawls across six ropanies of land, will offer employment to more than 100 people. The developers have already established a contact office in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, to facilitate their guests with easy booking.

The Poudel brothers, who were also involved in trekking business earlier, said their investment will contribute to increasing the inflow of tourists in the city.
