Dashain Carnival in town

To usher in the festive season, Partynepal—one of the oldest and most renowned event management houses in the country—is pulling out all the stops. A mega event has been planned for the end of the month, to get partygoers and families all revved up for Dashain celebrations. The Kathmandu Post Babaal Dashain Carnival is scheduled to be held at the Bhrikuti Mandap Fun Park between September 28-30, three days that will be jam-packed with food, entertainment, competitions and much more.

Eat.Shop.Play.Party has been adopted as the theme for the Dashain Carnival—sponsored mainly by Seagram’s Royal Stag Mega Music —and activities therein have been designed to appeal to persons from diverse age and interest groups. Beginning with an array of shopping and food stalls—featuring leading restaurant outlets—and extending to various mela games, the Carnival will also include a Dell Dance Competition, and All Nepal Band Competition, a Corporate Futsal and Paintball Tournament, as well as a Kids Dancing Painting Singing contest. While a number of bands will be performing throughout the day, there will be a few national and international DJs to entertain the crowds after 6 pm.

The carnival will take place between 2-10 pm (12 pm onwards on Saturday), and tickets are Rs 100 apiece
